La Verne / San Dimas Meals on Wheels looks to folks in our local community, businesses and local organizations for financial support. Our client service fees are kept as low as possible through the giving of people like you.
As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, 100% of you donation goes directly to the cost and delivery of meals to the homebound. Donations are tax-deductible.
Our client service fees cover 87% of the cost of the meals. Your generous donations make up the remainder of what is necessary to provide meals to our homebound individuals. We receive no support from the federal or state government.
The bulk of our expenses is the cost of the food itself with another 8% for supplies such as meal trays and bags to deliver the meals in.
